Tourists who visit Lincoln's Historic New Salem have the opportunity to board a trolley for a historical tour of Menard County's attractions and Victorian homes.

During these tours, an onboard screen offers visual depictions of many Menard County attractions as well as intermittent advertising. Because the trolley runs are frequent and the advertising repetitious, this is an ideal opportunity for businesses to advertise their services and products to hundreds, perhaps thousands, of the 500,000 tourists who visit New Salem each year.

An additional, compelling promotional activity is advertising on this website in the video-format featured on this home page. Advertisers, along with contact information, will be listed in the business membership directory on this home page. These advertising opportunities are only available for business members of the Menard County Tourism Council.

The second round of opportunity to come "onboard" for a combined trolley/website advertising package will occur early June 2008. These new advertising opportunities will be offered for the time periods of July-August and/or September-October. Also, separate advertising packages for banner advertising will be offered later this year.
